http://s288.photobucket.com/user/JBshuntclub/media/bb3.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0Caught this beauty this spring and am having a replica/mount made. I did not have a scale and am trying to decide how to word the plaque. She is 27 5/8" long and 21 3/4" girth. tell me what you would do. BTW she was caught May 18th at Alan Henry (the day before the tourney of course).

I'd call that, "Ditto's Borrowed Fish" That was a slob buddy. I would take 6 or 7 different math equation Bass weight formulas and see if there is a comon weight that keeps showing on the majority of them. And go with that weight. It's a 13 IMHO

"Who goes fishing on a bass boat without a scale, Oh well the Qwest continues for a double digit" Folks who haven't caught many double digits. Folks who are liars so they trust no one else. Folks who fish for fun and could care less what anyone else thinks. Folks who are compensating for some other shortcoming, none of which apply to you Dan. But you're smart so I know you get the point. To the OP, "coulda, shoulda, woulda" would make an appropriate plaque.

Just use the online calculator and call it a 13.8
I would also follow up with a phone call to TPWD and see if they will register it as a sharelunker?

" Lesson Learned " is what I would put on the plaque. It would be a conversation starter and you could tell the story about catching it. You may also want the name of the lake and the date and your name. The mount may wind up somewhere else some day.

Isn't that a black rapala scale on the bottom of the floor?
