If you could buy 10 rod and reels, what would your arsenal look like?
I would want an Abu 5500 put on a med 7'6 ugly stik for channel cats
And nine abu 6500c3's put on 7'6 Pro Anglers!

I can tell you I probably wouldn't buy 10 of the same reels and rods, I think that's kinda silly. I see posts of people who just got into catfishing and went out and bought 6 abu 6500's and 6 PA rods. Ive been doing it all my life and never did that. I like my variety anyhow.

I believe its more like people evolve and move into Abu's 55,65"s The old novice rigs are sold off or stuck away in some corner after the first PIG trash;s their Shakespeare/Zebco bass rigs. Ive fished my entire life with Abu reels,I do have some great gear from Penn,Mitchel lines etc that still work great. I jumped from the 55's on to the 65's basically when the 65 Inshore*(Classic) was leaving the market(09/10). I bought 12 from 3 vendors in Ohio for a smooth $75ea.That chapter in Abu history is long since closed and I wouldnt sell a one due to their insane rarity. The ones I use work like they just came out of the box.
Kinda like riding in a 57 BelAir . . . . .

I like 6500 c3 with 7.5 PA rods, I wouldn't mind trying other rods but for the quality and price you pay for a PA it is just hard to beat.

Salt striker baitfeeder spinning reels on meathunter 12' rods or 12' okuma longitude rods!
I'm almost there with 4 meathunters and 3 longitudes and 6 salt striker bait feeders!
