A buddy and I are headed to OH Ivie this upcoming friday to do a little fun fishing. We are gonna be staying at Elm Creek. Anyone been fishing Ivie lately or know some spots to go or lures to use? Any info would be awesome!

Jerry will have Capt. Grumpy's biats. They are very simular to the Tornado. They just move more water. T-Rig and C-Rig them.
All my Bass over 10 lbs. have come off the river channel trees in July and August. -Trees and channel West of Bucky's Point. -Trees and channel on the Concho River the first 1/2 mile going in. -Trees and Channel on the Colorado River about a mile past the pump house on the right side of the river. Just before the river banks begin to rise out of the water. Lots of rock on the left side of the river to top water.
This last spot will produce big bass on a spook right at daylight but it is hard to get up that far before the sun gets too hight and turns them off. If it is cloudy you got it made. Get up there and get after the top water bite.
The main lake is hammered too much on the weekends and the bass know you are coming. Get as far away from there as you can and fish the river channel lip in 5 to 10 ft. of water.

Had three 6s and lost an 8 flipping trees mid lake in a club tourney last weekend. Topwater bite has sucked this year and the bites have been few an far between this past month but I actually caught quite a few fish this last weekend. Best advice would be is if your not catching them. Move somewhere else. Drag points and deep treelines. Deep cranks on points and football jigs. And flipping trees.

Don't underestimate shallow water this time of year. I was up there last weekend and pulled a 5 pounder out of 3 feet of water on a hollow belly swimbait. 3 minutes after I caught that one, another boat about 50 yards from us pulled in an 8 pounder in 1-2 feet of water on a top water bait at 11:00 A. M. Main lake area.
