Or any ponds that hold any decent amounts of fish, of any kind? I'm wondering also.

Bank fishing for crappie is kind of challenging this time of year, or at least I think it is. Might consider bass, they are easier to catch and kind of fun on light tackle. One pond that comes to mind is at South Pearson and Union Church, behind the plant ranch. There are others, most of the community ponds are stocked for catch and release.

the trinity river has several locations that hold crappie...
I imagine its pretty tuff elsewhere to ketch off the bank in the summer ....
and by no means will it be easy to ketch them in the river ...
but....
if you kan find deeper water close to a bank ....
about dark an very early it mite hold a few crappie this time a year
best of luck to ya ....
