I noticed a few falcon rods the falcon original rod at academy for $89.99 and a Falcon Costal XG for the same price. Any reviews on these rods? Would be looking at using them on a spinning reel for wade fishing the flats in Galveston for specks and reds.

For the money you can't beat a Falcon. Their blanks are top notch. Their rods are very well balanced.

Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

My go to rods! Sold my loomis and went.with the original falcons. Have a few coastal but the blanks heavier in my opinion.
