Had a couple of newbies out today, got 3 early on slabs and a 20 lb. Buffalo which was heaved back in lake, then brought the hell/pet and had to look around for a good while but found a good school of big Sandies and I mean big with several over 16 inches and 1 Hybrid pic below. Back at dock by 10:30, with 50 Sandies and the one Hybrid. 15 ft. of water was the magic depth, midlake humps. OK while I am here, let me say this, if you want to fish with me, I'd love to have you in my boat, and will do my best to make it an enjoyable experience and you will catch fish! However if you have nothing better to do but call me at all hours and ask 20 question and not book or get upset when I politely ask for a deposit, please take your business elsewhere, there are plenty of other guides on CC as well as other lakes that will put you on fish and gladly take your money. Enuf said, I am off my soapbox for now.

Billy, I'm still getting multiple limits all over the lake with #4 Mepps. That usually correlates to a good slab bite. When you go to using the hellpet trolling, it normally correlates to me having to go to #2 Mepps in 10 to 15 fow. So, are you saying that you are finding concentrations of whites down on structure but can't get them to take a slab?
