I just bought a new ultralight reel that i plan on putting 8 lb braid and a few heavier spinning reels that i will be putting either 40 or 50 lb braid.

I need some suggestions on rods to go with them. Not looking to spend a ton of money.

The ultralight will be for crappie jigging and the heavier ones will be used drifting for catfish

Ugly Sticks for the heavy stuff, and BPS has a line of Ultra and Micro lite rods that I really like. Had one for several years and even use it for top water hybrids when I get bored horsing them in.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Pro Angler rods has you covered on both fronts. Maybe not the prettiest or most refined rods out there but for the money they can't be beat.
