Took the new kayak out for the 3rd time and am feeling more confident every trip. Launched at Clear lake and went to island point. A few small ones on slab. Wind was already picking up so went to south side of island. Herons were on the bank and saw a few small ones working. Caught some more small ones, with a couple of keeper size thrown in.

Continued down the bank switching between tail spinner and slab. Little ones with occasional 12-13 incher.

Probably caught 20 with 4-5 keeper size that went back. Beached at the cut and looked at other side and whitecapping real good.

Beached at the campgrounds and walked back to truck and and walked up the "hill" with yak to load. Got my work out in with that one. Might have to try RH next time.

Tan kayak, orange paddle blades? If so, saw you yesterday about 6:30 between CL launch and island.

Not me. Wasn't out yesterday. Have tan PA though.

CL is ok, first time launching there. Figured it was close to island and could fish backside if wind got to high. (which it did.)
