 How much tackle is on the bottom of Fork??

I just spent 4 days/nights fishing Fork for the first time in over 20 years and LOVED it! Caught a ton of 3-6 pounders but never got on the famous Fork giants. The trip was still a huge success. In all the years I've fished I've never experienced anything quite like this though...throughout the trip I kept getting tangled up in old line on the bottom. Over 4 days I drug up the following from the lake: A-rig, chatterbait, crankbait, trot line, 3 different bass jigs, 2 different bream rigs and a catfish rig. I kept telling my boat partner "I'm going to catch a rod and reel!". Well, at midnight on the last night I was hung up again and could tell it was line. I pulled it up to the surface, turned on my headlight and WALLA--I was caught on a Shimano spinning reel and Ugly Stick spinning rod. Looked like it had been in the lake less than a week! We couldn't believe it, you can't make that stuff up!!!

I know I have left my share of crank baits and jigs on the bottom of lake fork!

well have 5 rods on the bottom in dale creek, 23 ft of water, i almost got sick

Watched my BIL loose a g loomis rod and shimano reel when he set the hook on a fish and was promptly yanked out of his hands!

I have pulled more fishing line in the 5 years in Birch that I have in any other 10 lakes in 25 years!

I have made a considerable investment decorating the bottom of Lake Fork. I have yet to donate a rod and reel.

I'm getting sick just thinking about some of the stuff I have on the bottom of that lake. The only thing I donated on purpose in Fork is a phone that wouldn't quit ringing while bed fishing for a monster that wouldn't stay put. Yeah...I slept on the couch that evening.
