I've only fished it a few times. I flip the reeds and lilly pads and generally manage to catch a few fish, but it's a pretty boring lake to me, I've never made it past lunch before I pack up and head to Palestine or Tyler. Best luck I've had is in the reeds directly across the lake from the boat ramp, but the lake is small enough you could pretty much fish the entire lake in a day.

I have never actually fished it but I heard the north side had some security problems and wasn't exactly a good place to leave your vehicle but that was awhile ago and they may have got it cleaned up by now with the cascade addition growing

I know of several 10+ lb fish caught off of it. Not to big or deep of a lake. It can skunk you at times.

Huge fish in it. No security problems, you can see your vehicle from almost every where on the lake. Spend most of your time north of boat ramp. Bring a frog!!!

Ya I was looking for some advice too because I fished it yesterday for almost 8 hours in my kayak and only landed ONE FISH!!! Given it was "blue bird" skies and anticipated a tough bite, I didn't think it was going to be that tough... I noticed frogs in the Reeds and a lot of splashes from what sounded like inside the Reeds??? I managed to throw a weedless tx rig on the Lilly pads just inside the reed line and made some commotion on the pads before I pulled it into the water and boom!!! Caught my only stinking fish the whole day that might have went for more than 2 lbs. Also, are there any other places to target fish besides reeds and where is the deepest water in that lake??? Thanks Yal!

where is the boat ramp located on this lake? no use of big motor? Idle speed only? I see the boat ramp but I cannot find any information concerning restrictions, if any. With a 200 acre lake, I can understand a no-wake policy. I just wouldn't want to paddle around either. Anyone have some additional info?

The ramp is located off of hwy 31 on the west side of town. And there are no restrictions on the lake. Havent been out there in a couple of years, but it used to fish pretty good.
