are they any good? I bought one of the skeet Reese revo back in the day (someone stole), that reel was the legendary revo. but I see the "victory" makes the reels now and they are super cheap are they worth it? are they a good bang for the buck?

also I was thinking about the cables prodigy? I don't know much about it, what I do know is it is a very good reel. my buddy bought and it was super nice and was only $100. if yall can tell me a little about both reel pro/cons would be very much appreciated

The current Skeet Reese reel sucks. It is clunky and feels like garbage in your hands. I have a hard time believing anyone that fishes for a living would use those much less an elite angler like Reese. I'd pick an Academy Mettle reel before the SR reel. That's saying something.

I don't know anything about the "cables" reel.

There are a lot of better reels thang the two you're looking at. The lews or mettle out do both and the mettle is only $50 bucks.

well I have plenty of expensive rods and reels. I seen how cheap those to and all the review were good. but don't get me wrong I like to spend good money on awesome stuff. I need three reels that I like. im trying to get a boat so trying to save some money 150 200 bucks a pop, money goes quick. so im trying to find the best bang for my buck. I have bought a lot of reels off craigslist to try to keep cost down. im ready to buy some new stuff. i would like to buy something in the 100-150 range i love quantum reels and the revos, have had the best luck with those two. i have never had a curado, really never had a lot of shimono reels? lews i have heard so much about them it is unreal. everyone says to fish with them?

For a hundred dollars, you cant beat the Lews speed spool. I am a reel whore and own at least one of just about every brand. Lews wins, hands down. That being said, my skeet reese isnt awful. does ok for flipping and pitching

I have 5 skeet Reece combos the reels are all good and smooth they are perfect set up when your getting into fishing and don't want throw 200 down on nicer brands, as of now im selling all them I have upgraded to custom rods and Helios reels selling for 75.00 combo

i seen the review on that h20 mettle. DANG!!! everyone was saying that they are awesome. how do yall like them ?

I own a skeet Reese victory and itsbeen pretty good, I have braided line on mine and out of that, a pinnacle, and a shimano citica 200, i like it the best, it's only $110 so it's in the range you were looking.

well i haven't decided. im probably going do something. round there i might just go get what i want. i going to get the lewa speed spool, maybe something else i might just hit up cables and bass pro while im home to look and see what all i need. my plan is to get beep cranking rod and reel combo (i have the rod) c-rig combo, and one more flipping combo, have all 3 rods. i might just wait out the storm and keep looking on here to see what all pops up for a good deal.
