Me and my Son-in-law ... used my new Okuma rod, we caught bluegill on a mosquito fly. Smallmouth hit an orvis damsel fly. The crappie came on a jig UL spin rig.

With persistence the crappie will also take the fly, white Woolly Bugger, Clouser etc. Nice pictures, love the canoe too.

Sorry Cochiti lake about 45 minutes north of Albuquerque, closer to Santa Fe. It is a nice place to take the family, really been fixed up for swimming areas, etc. But is the same old fair fishing, but fishing is better than not fishing. wink
