Hey all, my wife wants to fish Fork this week and was just wondering if it would be worth the trip for her in this heat? She likes to catch bass but are they bitting enough for a novice to catch them? I know it all depends on whether I can find the fish or not also but it won't make them bite.

Any suggestions on where to look for them and what we might throw to catch a few? Not asking for secret spots or honey holes, just info to help improve our odds. We will be staying for about 3 days, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and god bless.

Her personal best is just under 12 pounds! On a frog no less. Walking the bank at a lake near our home. It was her idea to go to Fork so I am very excited.

We just got back and the heat was a beating on Friday..my wife fished for 8 hours and never really complained about it.. she was catching fish so that helped allot.. just make sure you have plenty of cold water to dip a towel in to wear around your neck.. worked for us!

Shallow early deep after the sun gets overhead. Go to bridges if you get to hot.

The fish in the pic weighed 11lbs. 14oz and had already spawned. I wish she had caught it a little earlier! Thanks for the advise and please keep it coming, I want to make this as enjoyable for her as possible. And thanks again.
