Last week i drove my boat past it and they had it covered up with workers. Don't know if its open but Rough Creek worked OK. Just have to back a little far in and if by yourself wear sandals!

Called yesterday and was told that ramp at dam was done but lake level was to low around ramp for it to be used.

Leave it up to BRA to fix a ramp...that still can't be used! You prefer for them to wait until it is usable to fix it so it can be unusable even longer??

Think Kyle's point is they spent money to improve a ramp that due to their greed selling water we can't use. Doesn't make sense to improve a ramp that isn't useable.

I misunderstood from the onset. I thought they were wideing AND extending the ramp. Turns out they were wideing it only. Wish they had extended it but it still does make sense to do the repairs they did while the water is down...no brainer!

Was on Granbury yesterday at launched at Rough Creek but had to back in over the end of the ramp and on the rocks, etc. Major problem was getting around the massive sand bar at entrance to cove. Almost got hung twice and if that water gets any lower, not sure you could get out to main lake channel. City park ramp seemed OK but if you're by yourself, no place to beach boat without getting into the rocks.

Heading out of Rough Creek towards the main lake stay way over to the left side. You can see the cliffs where the channel is along this shore. Immediately at the end of the cove while entering the main lake turn right or you will hit bottom. Big sand bar but its marked with buoys. Plenty deep to the right. I simply idle till I'm out into the marked main river channel. The area that worries me is running the marked channel towards the dam in front of the power plant discharge by Port Ridgley. The river channel is marked but its silted in here and only 5' deep. Little pucker for me while running on plane through this area.
