I've seen and fished on many CC boats, Greg. I love the new 22 Nautic Star that Gene Champion Fish has. And the 225HP 4-stroke yami on it is fast too! Very functional and smart layout for the type of fishing we do! A+ from SeaPro Todd. The only con I have is the price is that high like a several other CC boats I love. I know my "next" boat will be nice cuz I have a pretty good idea of what I want! LOL

Gluck, Greg!

I've got an 1800 Bay NauticStar with a 90 saltwater series Johnson. It's a few years old now. Great hull that takes heavy water and keeps you dry, gets on plane quickly... Round livewell that keeps bait alive and out of the corners. It turns very tight at speed, on par with the Blue Wave in that sense (I shopped those and got some time on a demo). I suggest you demo both and buy what makes you happy.

Team Sharc Bait fishes out of a 2003 2200 Bay. It's been on just about every striper/hybrid lake in Texas and offshore in Port Oconnor in some pretty sour conditions. Solid, dry, and plenty fast.

Nautic Stars are very nice boats and are what I would consider a "name brand boat." Excellent boats but a little more expensive than a few others than save you a little money on some bells and whistles. I know I like bells and whistles smile if you want to go a little less expensive then maybe take a look at a Sportsman at Fish and Ski Marine on Ray Roberts. I own a Masters 247 with a 250hp Yammy and its an awesome boat. Very stable and smooth and had TONS of storage. Their number is (940) 726-6388. Ask for Luke.

I know I've said this a few times on here but if you end up getting into a used boat, ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY pay the $100 from a reputable mechanic to have the boat inspected. It'll be the best $100 you ever spent on the boat and could potentially save you thousands. If the seller won't let you do that, walk away with a smile on your face cause you just dodged a bullet.

I guess my best advice would be to look at MANY boats and try to narrow it down to what you feel is the best choice for how you plan on fishing. There isn't a perfect boat or we'd all own it smile

I bought a used '08 NS 2110 with a Yamaha F-150 two years ago and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I am limited to 21' because of where I keep it, and was specifically looking for one with this engine due to its good reviews. It fishes three men (casting) comfortably...I haven't tried more, and it runs 46 mph with just me. Comfortable ride compared to the aluminum Triton I was in. It has a live jack plate which we've used alot this year with the low water level at RC. Plenty of room to move around, and plenty of storage. I would suggest a 36v TM for this size boat, as my 24v set up doesn't last when we're chasing whites.

I once had a NauticStar CC and A NatuicStar deck boat and liked both. Well built boats but like Paul said I found more options for a cheaper price and just as well built boat may be better with my Seafox. You cant go wrong with a NauticStar, Seafox, Seahunt or a Bluewave.

I had the pleasure of shopping for a CC not to long ago! Be patient and just do your research on them (just as your doing). I did the same thing on here and got expert advice from a lot of anglers... I've been in most CC's and I love them all.. Just spend a lil time in the ones you have your eye on! I promise you'll have guys on here to PM for a test run in there style boat.. You can ride in the Skeeter if you want... Just let me know... (Demo ZX 22 bay) saved over 10k. It does have the Yamaha 250 SHO. Absolutely love the Yamaha engines!! IMO don't under power a boat... Better now / Better resale... Check for large storage, sturdy hinges, etc. Good luck! Enjoy. PM if you want....

Gborg I have a 2011 Nautic Star 2200TE that I fish out of and thoroughly love. I love this boat so much my wife is jealous.

It fishes great with plenty of room, lots of storage, the live wells work fantastic. This past weekend we had at least 40 fish in the rear well all alive when we got to the boat ramp. The front live well is big and also round so it can double as a bait tank. The boat takes rough water with no problem and it also keeps you dry. I would recommend Carey and sons in Grandbury, call Romney Carey and take a demo ride in one. I hot a really good deal there when I bought mine. Give him my name, Gene Reeves, he is a super dude. If you want a ride in mine or have any questions send me a PM.

Good luck on whatever you choose, buying a new boat is awesome!!!

Hey Buddy 76, I never thought to install a basketball hoop/backboard in my boat (see your picture)! Gives you something to do until the schooling action heats up?
