Me and a few of some of the other kayak fishermen who show up usually on a Saturday morning at our local lake and go out and fish some spots, and we usually just keep track of what we catch and compare notes at the end of the day.
First prize for heavy stinger and big catfish gets to eat as much of his catch as he wants to fry up at the end of the day.
He then gets bragging rights and the title of Master baiter for the day.

Mainly I fish Calaveras which is just about 12 miles from my back door, which is south east of San Antonio. Braunig is also a good lake nearby and they are known for their redfish population as well.
Some of the bigger lakes in the area are suffering from the effects of the drought but you can still find some good places to fish.
There is a big kayak tournament on Calaveras in a few weeks that cost $30 to enter with some cash and door prizes, put on by Fin Addict fishing. I'll probably fish it!

There is a Fin Addict kayak Tournament at Calaveras Lake on June 22. It's for Reds and catfish I believe.
