Does any one on here have any experience with the shimano spirex rear drag reels. They have a feature called Fighting Drag 2 which seems similar to a baitrunner reel (although I know its not the same) and allows line to come off just about the same as with a baitrunner in free spool. What do you guys think?

I've had some experience with them and they aren't bad reels at all, actually fantastic, they hold up to use extremely well. While not a true baitrunner because the drag assist doesn't engage when you reel, it's very helpful for float fishing or all around carp angling just because you can crank the drag down or up with the flip of a switch and go back to your favorite setting for playing fish.
