I use these all of the time. They don't seem to affect the action or sensitivity of my lures.

i use berkley cross locks and they have never failed me.

I use the norman ones that have a split ring thing on the end. You do have to take the stock split rings off your baits.

I use Norman Speed clips, have for years...no problems!!!

Never. Just something to go wrong. I can clip off a lure and tie a palomar, fishermans, or improved clinch knot in less than 30 seconds. The risk isn't worth the extra time.
