I'm heading to Amistad early next week and was wondering if there was any suggestions on what people are catching bass on and where on the texas side would be good to start. Last time I saw the lake was last may and it was only 30 feet low...it's gonna look a lot different now that its 62 feet low! Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing. I was there today (Fri) in the evening and got skunked frown

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

We fished there last weekend and did ok, I had 18# by noon on 4 fish, my partner and I had a weight of 61# for a day half tournament. One of our club members caught a 13# Saturday needless to say he won the big bass pot. Crank baits, football shakie heads with zoom trick worms worked well, top waters early.

I was there last weekend. We did very well on drop shot and c-rig 10" zoom worm in watermelon candy. Early morning and late evening topwater is pretty good. We fished mainly evans and castle. Be very careful when running around the lake with it being so low, you can go from 40ft to 2ft in a hurry.
