Can anyone tell me if the structure in Star Harbor(everyone calls it the intake) is illegal to fish? It has the "keep out" buoys around it...

I don't know of any intake near Star Harbor. Doesn't matter, the lake is closed! No fish in CCL, it's official. hehehe

Yes sir, it is illegal to fish any intake on CC! Despite the fact you may see people fishing it all the time.

Dang the luck. I was going to come down and try it again. I guess I will try Texoma with ElRojo tomorrow.

You must be talking about the one by the dam. I wouldn't recommend it, especially since its marked NO FISHING STAY BACK 100 ft. I see people tied up to them all the time. The one at the dam would be the highest risk spot. Tarrant county water authority patrols the dam daily. Most of the time by vehicle but I also see them doing lake patrol by helicopter at times. They might not even care but they might.

Stay away from all "keep out". Game warden WILL give you a ticket. I just got one fishing in the "intake" at Lake Tawakoni. Costed me $217. No fish is worth that.

Unless, of course you get to keep that a "lake record".... rolfmao

Seriously, I just don't get it sometimes...why they feel the need to rope off a spot when it is a hotspot type area...know a couple of places that were put off limits, seemingly, because they became known hotspots...seems "safety" is always the excuse they give...but never the true reason...

Well, I did see the buoys at the four corners but didn't read it. I thought all the buoys says "no wake" so I ventured in. Sure did caught a bunch of slabs though. My fault for not reading closely. I guess I deserve it. Just stay safe & read all buoys.
