and what sizes do y'all use? I personally find no advantage to them that I can tell.

Smaller and more sensitive.

I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

They're more dense than lead. This translates to smaller size for the same weight as lead. The higher density also increases sensitivity. I don't know by what percent, but if I try to fish with lead these days, I can't tell if I'm maintaining bottom contact. Also, fish will sometimes clamp down on a lead weight. When you set the hook and they're holding a lead weight with their teeth, you typically won't get the hook in them. If they do that with tungsten, it is so dense and slick that it won't affect your hookset like lead will. Finally, lead is toxic. Tungsten is not.

Lead is cheaper, but you can feel bottom better with tungsten...

I like them in rocky bottoms. They clack against the rocks and make noise and I can feel what the bottom consists of. I usually only use them for c-rigs. I use whatever I can find on sale. 3/8 to 3/4. I use 1/8 bullets on t-rig and light line if fish are spooky and shallow.
