Just picked up the Tournament Choice® Torrid 400 Spinning Reel Convertible. I love there rods for creeks or places I would not want to take a more expensive rod. Just curious anyone's experiences? I have it matched up with a St Croix medium triumph for Bass Mostly. Posted this in another section but no answers! Since this is the best and my favorite section figured someone on here will have some experience.

I haven't had my hands on it to tell you one way or another. Without looking at it's guts, it looks like the Mitchell Advocate rebadge from about 7 or 8 years ago. If that's the case it's a good reel. Just beware of the anti reverse. They gave out with little notice.

Good luck with it JWK. I don't know much about those reels. Let us know what you think after you get a good chance to use it.

I have one friend of mine who uses a Tournament Choice Torrid and he seems to like it a lot.
