A lot of fish with no size is a lot better than a whole lot of no fish!

Caught a few better fish on top water over grass this week. Up to 5lbs and a couple of 4's.

I was there a few weeks back. Everything was brown and dead. The water looked terrible.

water looked good today, some grass starting to grow, lots of pepper grass. Could not buy a bite shallow. went out in 20ft or so and went side scanning. found a few groups of fish and caught them on football jigs, nothing big though other than a 6lb catfish that ate my jig

Yea went out Thursday and it was brutal! Caught 5 fish in 4 hrs. A lot different from catching 30 in a few hours. Haven't been out early enough to catch the topwater bite so far.
