So I've heard of a few superstitions associated with tournament fishing:
-like no bananas
-don't fill your livewells before you catch your first fish
-don't ever want to catch a fish on your first cast
-catch a catfish you leave your spot ect. ect.

personally i'm not very superstitious, however i've fished with a few partners who were diehard superstition followers. i was just curious if you guys had any more and how much you let them bother you or how close you follow them

The more superstitious you are, the less you're thinking about fishing. No time to waste in a tourney on silliness.

Never fill live well before the first fish and always store the net in its box.

This is the truth! Focus on finding and catching fish....superstitions are silly and have nothing to do with anything....a waste of time. They are man-made excuses!

Before every tournament I always pay the fish gods whatever change I have in my pocket! Heck I've even sent a five dollar bill a float to pay them if I don't have any change!

I have been in a funk fishing lately... Contribute it to lake levels rising, fishing too fast (love too power fish)... Or because I rarely take anyone fishing and have last couple months and my boat has an omen on it...

So this weekend during the BFL me and my coangler will be fishing with a bag of garlic...

Oh and back to fishing solo for awhile...
