Ok I guess it was my families turn to have their lake house broken in to...I was there a week ago this past Friday and saturday with family... Well the Sunday around 8 is when they struck...it seems like I remember ready another thread on here about thieves that at food at the house the stole things from...well this was them...first of when my cousin and myself pulled up to the lake house we noticed right away the garage door was open...thank goodness I still see my boat sitting in there along with my golf cart and my dad zero turn john Deere mower, but my dad Kawasaki mule is gone...then I look over at the house to see my parents window to their bedroom broken...called sheriff and he said so hold on tight and not touch anything because 2 other places that week had their house broken into as we'll...so he came by and we proceeded into the house and right away I noticed a box of corn dogs and a TV dinner were out on the counter and the microwave door was still open...the db pissed in the half bath without a flush...all TVs were still there but dads clothes, couple drill sets and boots are gone...he left his jeans which were stolen from another house along with a pair of bowinkle house shoes in my parents bedroom...he also stole a .22 from dads room...but that's it...witnesses reported seeing him driving our mule in the property of the other house he robbed in same night...so u lake fork regulars be looking please for a 2011 Kawasaki camo mule...when the sheriff came he took a few items that had prints all over them for evidence...shortly after he left he calls me back and said they already had a name on the suspect...the next day the a-hole was arrested in grand saline...I still thank The Lord he didn't take anymore than what he did, especially my new bass rig which sat from Sunday to Friday with garage open all week from the dumb idiot...reason why he was caught so fast is they found his cell phone in the other house he robbed!!!!!

You guys know he'll be out in a few weeks, if not days. I would keep my trigger finger strong.

suggestion for locking up stuff like the mule and boat. go get one of these for every vehicle (lowes) and drill a hole in the concrete that is oversized ie a 3/4" shank needs a 1" hole min. buy some sulphur at a pharmacy or farm supply, get a metal pan or something to melt the sulphur in (it will be useless for anything else afterward), drill the concrete and clean the hole well (air blower), melt the sulphur and pour in the hole to about 2/3 full, insert eye bolt and let set for about 3 hrs to cool. when melted sulphur is used to mount a bolt in concrete it will not come out, you can chain the vehicle/boat to the eye bolt with heavy chain and feel pretty sure no one will steal it. this has worked for me in the past to lock up all kinds of things when I used to be gone for weeks at a time.

So did they recover the stuff the a-hole stole? I sure am lucky that we have full time neighbors that keep an eye on our place at Rayburn.
