Save your money and get a sx or premier. I have two mgx's and the brakes sheered within a month. Very disappointed with that reel but I love the rest of the lineup.

I like mine. I have 10 of them and have used the heck out of them. They cast great and are smooth reeling. I replaced my sx's with them.

I love mine, I sold my core to buy another one. It's my second favorite reel i've ever used right behind my steezes, and they're not far behind them.

I have two and one performs flawlessly but the other had brake issues and have just put it aside...but the one that works is a very good reel. Although, if I were to do it all over again I would get the Lews TLP1SH (Tourney Pro Speed Spool) which is a little pricey but still $50 cheaper than the MGX. I have had several Lews and not one issue with any of them and the TLP1SH feels a little better in my hand...JMHO.
