Myself and Mike "USMC_GY" fished both Lake Dunlap and Lake Mcqueeney the other day. The bite was slow. We did manage to catch a few nice Bluegill in the 7 to 8 inch range. Fish were caught around docks and off of tree lines. Worms were the bait of choice and float, drop shot, and bottom techniques were used. Fish were in 7 to 8 feet of water and all were released to fight again. A Channel Cat, and some Longear rounded off the lake catch. On the way home we stopped at two local creeks where we caught some nice fat greens,a Bass, and several fat Bluegill. Ended up with a fair day of fishing. Catching some week day Sunnies. It don't get any better. fish

Nice seeing those Dunlap/Mcqueeney Gills. Perfect eating size. Good job guys.

Side Note: Next week forecast has a pretty good chance for RAIN. Hopefully we get some.

Excellent! Me and the dog will drive down this summer to catch some Rios and whatever else is swimming around hungry or mad.

Looking forward to that cheers

I have fished those River Lakes a lot over the years and for the most part that water is what I call it has been "Guadalupe Blue"! Water conditions are simply great just about 90 percent of the time. thumb
