Is a 24 series with 1000CCA big enough for a 250 ProXS? Either got one with a bad cell or it wasn't enough. Only lasted 4 weeks. Seems like my last one had a 27 series in it.

I believe your engine manual states that battery with 1000MCA, 800 CCA or 180Ah is the correct battery. Whether it is a 24 or 27 series would depend on whether or not you have the space to accomodate the larger battery. I would certainly lean more toward a bad battery than the size.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

Coach White,

I googled Coast to Coast battery and could not find anything. Any chance it is West Coast battery? Pls verify, I also would like a new charging battery. My cranking battery for SHO is weak after only 18 months.

No, it says coast to coast on the battery and sales receipt. I have one for my cranking and trolling batteries. Fished amistad on saturday and sunday on that horrible wind. I have a 24 volt tm and had it set on 70-100 the whole day and still had a good charge at the end of the day. You call John Thompson at Thompson Marine on Lake Alan Henry. He hooked me up with them.

I'd go with a 29 if it will fit.

I put a 24 series interstate in my boat with a 225 Opti and it didn't last long maybe a couple months. Took it back and the gave me a credit and moved up to a 29 series and it's been in there going strong about 3 yrs.

Looks like that is what I will have to do. I went with 29's for the TM, guess my boat will have to suck it up and get a little fatter.
