SO LUCKY!!! I would say check out the walden marina area. They have some nice houses and apartments you can rent. Plus you will get a walden marina card for living there. Its an awesome place to fish at as it has a "jetty" that sticks out into the water.
Can one become a master at fishing? Pshh... yes...

They are finally changing management? The manager that is there has been there forever, I never did like them, they were always rude. I may move my boat back over there, i always liked the marina.

I take over next weekend. I will post info then. I have heard from many people that the last couple managers were unreasonable. We have valet covered storage at the lake location and covered storage with free launch at another location 1 mile away. We also have a small RV area. We have the deepest launch ramp on the lake. As I said earlier, I will post more Info when I take over. Stay tuned for more.

basscats, The last two managers at Lakeview Marina on lake Conroe was a husband and wife team and they only lasted for SIX MONTHS. The manager before that was great and woked with the customers and the other businesses. She also was only the GM for SIX MONTHS.You will find the PROBLEMS are with the owners in Dallas not the past GM's or their employees.DO NOT SIGN A LEASE FOR MORE THAN SIX MONTHS, and GOOD LUCK you will need it.

I wish you luck, it's a nice facility it just needs to be run better. If I were you I would look into a condo in April Sound or Walden for a little more Money. A friend of mine has a condo in April Sound and it's about the same as nicer apartments are going for plus you get boat ramp, pool, etc. and it's on the water.
J. Rankin I stored my pontoon there for 1 year and last winter the roof just about caved in on it. The boat would have been better off parked in a pasture! They have storage down the road by Quality Marine, that is where mine was stored. The storage near the Marina and ramp may be better. There was a storage facility behind shooter's station on Dam Site Rd. that was reasonable but I don't remeber the name.

Catchinum: You are right the ownership did abandon this location for a couple years. They have realized that they lost money by doing so and are now actively trying to make this location better. The Ownership group is now actively involved and will be investing more into these properties.
We are building more storage on the lake property for larger boats in the next couple months. We do have covered storage for bass boats under 20ft on the lake property available
Please call 936-588-3190 Wed-Sunday

Basscats The Dallas owners have been saying that they are going to build the larger stalls for over a year now. And the other stalls need repaired the roofs leak and they have refused to do anything.I wish you luck but you will see what I mean when you are there a couple of months. The way they treated the last two managers was just wrong and us locals will not forget it.We hope they go out of business or have to sell out, we are not going to do business with people from Dallas that treat the local employees so very bad. And we are spreading the word, and the bottom line shows it. I do understand that you just came aboard but it does not excuse what they did to the GM that was almost killed there. We will never forget, no matter who they bring in or what they do. My boat battery was dead on several occasions due to the lights at the storage's being turned off for non payment of the electric bill. Dallas was suppose to pay it, the GM tried to make excuses but I saw the meter lock,an work for the electric co. Sorry we will never be back nor will we recommend it to anyone else.
