Richland Chambers Sunday morning April 21st
I had the privilege of guiding Bryan Botttleburg and family this morning and we had a great time together. We had a good sassy shad bite this morning, picking up 22 sand bass and 1 hybrid the first thing. Really the first sassy shad activity for me this spring. Caught the rest on chartreuse slabs in 15 to 20 feet of water off flats and points.
Main tip on catching fish using sassy shads for baits is to look for the big white egrets working the shore line. They are feeding on spawning shad so the sand bass, hybrids and catfish are in there feeding on the shad. Ease in slow with trolling motor and just using a cast and retrieve method works great.
Good fishing guys thanks!
