BASSCHAMPS: Due to 15-20 mph wind predictions tomorrow afternoon, the Ray Roberts tournament will be a trailering event. Registration begins at 5:00 am.
Wow. Really 15-20 with no strong gusting. Pretty wimpy BC.

15-20 on that lake is a brutal ride to the north end. Especially when you enter the gauntlet past Wolf Island.

This whole trailering thing is new to me. I moved here from California and on lakes that get big water like Mead, Mojave or Powell, there's no trailering... You launch where they launch and fish where you can. Most of those lakes are three times the size of the lakes here.

Maybe the low water is contributing as well.

I dunno Mark... Even at Clear Lake which is 1/3 bigger than Fork there are no "trailering" tournaments regardless of the weather. Here, they're all trailering, even if the weather isn't bad.

I don't mind trailering. Not sure why all the fuss over it. I like traditional starts too.

They are doing it because the lake is so low the big stumps now are 6 to 8 inches under the water. I have fished the lake since it openend and I have never seen it this bad ,even the guides are hitting stumps, my boat is in the shop now because of this lake. In the t.t.t tournament there was 7 boats went to the same shop I did.

Texas and have not given what other states do much thought. Most states I'd rather not emulate since Texas is pretty much heaven on Earth.

If the wind is too bad for everyone to launch and make a run from the same area, why not just cancel the event? Whether there is trailering in effect or not, guys are still going to run the open, rough water.
