Back at work today. 42 degrees with 12mph winds when we left the ramp...22mph from north when we finished fishing for the day. Lake just under 2 foot low...expect 150-200 bass boats on the lake for this coming weekend. Today I was supposed to have Jared from Houston, and three daughters, 12 and under...the oldest decided it was too cold...then the middle one was crying during the night afraid the boat would turn over in the high winds, so only the 7 year old Kaylee showed up to tuff it out with dad. I wrapped her in a Frog Togg top and faced her back into the wind, sitting on a cooler, when we headed out at 42 degrees. She had a fun time heading to the first spot, warm, and playing with dad since he Frog Togg sleeves about came down to her ankles. First spot we stopped at, 2 foot deep, produced two fish, next spot zero fish, so we moved to a third spot, still 2-3 foot deep and managed to pick up another 35 fish by 11:15am...dad then asked Kaylee if she was ready to head home...since the winds were now howling, and Kaylee said yes. So, 37 cats, up to 4..5#, all caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under corks, in 2-3 foot water.
