That's a great photo Mike...
Couple years back I was paddling over in the Dixon Branch area of White Rock and I came across a guy in a flat bottom canoe that had this whole radio antennae set up. I asked him what it was all about and he said he was working with biologists in Canada and Belize to track the migration patterns of a bird whose name escapes me right now. Anyways he said that that little cove was one of the great waypoints in all of north Texas for a number of fairly rare and exotic migratory birds. Kind of interesting since where we were you could hear the sounds of not so distant traffic from Buckner road.

White Rock Lake is a major migration area for birds. I have been told that well over 250 different species either live or migrate through the lake area. It is a bird wacthers paradise. That's a great photo Mike...
