Fished from 7-1 and 5-sunset. The morning started out a little slow. Lots of boats off of Dalrock, I marked a lot of bait and a few small clusters of fish. Fished for 10min before moving on with nothing to show except a small cat. Headed over to the peanut and marked fish in 20-18fow. Started making drifts but wasnt picking up much, was considering a move when... Spa-lash!! I didnt see the first splash but all of a sudden there were fish workin on the surface all around me. I dropped my slab rod and went to work with a Moe's charteuse sparkle 4" sassy. First cast brought this bruiser to hand: Sorry for the bad photo, but my usual fishing pal was taking the morning off for some much needed rest. In my rush to release her after the photo, I even forgot to look at the scale! Oh well, I made sure to put some size reference materials in there. When you've only caught 5 hybrids, its easy to know when you've caught your biggest! I caught 4 more within the next 15min that were smaller, all released to get bigger! After that a few more boats started buzzing around and the fish disappeared. Scooted back over towards chandlers when I see this giant flotilla of CC's. Stopped there to fish with Dr. Whiplash and crew for a bit and say some hellos. That spot is tough for me to fish because of all the lumber and me not having a TM right now. (Ipilot will be on next week!) headed back to wait for Tay and eat lunch at the dock when I got a call from Mark, who said "C'mon, they're down south!". Jumped in his rocket sled and off we go! We caught some MONGO sandies between 16 and 22fow and even a couple more small hybrids, all on slabs with flys. Headed in after the wind picked up but headed back out in the evening and after running around the lake looking for em, got back on em south of 30 in about 20fow. Put 15 in the boat in 15min right at sunset and Tay got a double dinger! Great day on the water, and good to see Terry, Ray, Reuben, Jeff, Pat, and Pat's wife (who appeared to be catching all the fish!). Now its off to NOLA for work until Wednesday Somebody's gotta pay for that ipilot!

Nice job Going Green! Is that a GO Pro camera I see next to the hybrid? If so, we all look forward to a few videos of your adventures. Good Luck out there!

Great report Carson! When I spoke to Mark I told him to tell you I said hello. When I saw you all my brain was focused on fish and I promise I wasn't being rude! We fishermen all have a one track mind like that. Nice fish BTW. Most of us have our top five spots on the lake. The Peanut was one of the first places someone took me many, many moons ago. Love that place. We caught some nice ones there yesterday afternoon...

Nice job Going Green! Is that a GO Pro camera I see next to the hybrid? If so, we all look forward to a few videos of your adventures. Good Luck out there! I do have a go pro that I occasionally bust out, but usually just for duck hunting. Hadnt really thought about it for fishing... Might have to do that though. Maybe we should put it on Terry for the next RHSA event and let the Terry-cam record the antics.

Heres my boat for any of you that haven't met me out there. Stop by and say hello if you see me out! Here's what it started its life as: Hard to believe its the same boat! It still has the goofy nav light on the bow, but that is gonna have to go now that I'm joining the Ipilot club!
