Do most guys install a power kill switch for the power poles to ensure they don't drain their cranking battery when the boat sits for 4 or 5 days??

If you dont you will ruin your battery, the power poles will drain your battery so low it will not take a charge!!!

We install a switch on our installs but Power Pole has a software update to fix that issue and some others

I put a master switch on both of mine, in the battery compartment. Not so much for power drain, but just as a way to kill the power to the switch when not in use.

We connected the power wire to the main breaker for the boat that shuts everything off.

I have never had a problem? Not too say there is not one but I am on my third set of poles with no drained battery issues...

Bluetooth and little green led's just a flashing...

Now I can see installing a kill switch or pulling fuses so they don't deploy going down freeway... If thats ever happened...

A Perko Starting Battery Cut-Off Switch is a Definite Must for newer boats, especially those with HPDI's,DMS PP, etc.
Those items listed as well as others not listed, draw continuous current.

Would love for some to post a pic of your installation of a battery cut off and a simple inline cut off for the PP itself. I have two PP Blades and see those blinking lights in the bilge area going 24/7. No that little LED light draws almost nothing but the bluetooth searching constantly for a signal from the remotes evidently draws more. Several here would love to see a pic how some of you fixed the "problem" Thanks, 361V.

mine are on the charger when not fishing, so I dont get a drain on my batteries at all.For those who dont, the switch seems to be a great idea for sure
