Is it just me or has academy to go down hill they are losing good merchandise.

They have quit carrying things I used to get in midland.

The one in Mesquite was pretty good last night. Except on rod selection. Very few to choose from besides the Academy brand.

Not sure what the deal is but El Paso has a better selection.
Arlington and Grapevine have been reduced and good luck finging H20 crankbaits.

they have gotten rid of all the abu rods and skeet reese rods electronics and some of the lures i use

Stopped shopping there six months ago because of the dwindling selection.

Its still good most of the time, as long as you KNOW they have what you need. But their selection has definitely got smaller over the last year.

I was at the Mesquite location on sunday. They had Trokar hooks for 3.50 a pack. Other than that I have been very disappointed in Academy and how they are geting rid of their quality stuff. Other than a few good items, their fishing section is becoming more and more like walmart's every day.

All the more reason to go to APT if you can.
