Question for the guys who have used a Huddleston Deluxe 8" swim bait. What line do you prefer to use around stumps and other structure as in Fork? I was thinking 50lb braid, but a buddy of mine swears by 30lb fluorocarbon.

If you want to see how far a hudd can fly when your line snaps mid-cast (aka a "cast-off") use braid frown

Of your choices, flouro is the better choice but there's nothing wrong with using heavy mono either. Just learn how to bring the bait through the cover without burying the hook. Or get the 8" weedless and a beast of a rod.

25lb big game mono. Dont expect to get many, if any bites with it on Fork. Oh... sandbass will bump it to so dont let them fool you. There are a lot of better swimbaits for fork.

Sounds like the one papamark is using is working well, but it is still a "secret" bait. LOL
