do you guys cure your colors in-between? i was wanting to do a white base coat to make the brighter colors pop, without building up to much paint so i don't get runs from the buildup.

Fireshadow, I don't know how other's do it and I'm by no means an expert but I often do it both ways. 1. I'll paint several jigs a base color like Chartreuse Green and cure them then heat & dip the belly another color like silver then heat again to smooth the belly color and then brush tap another color like florescent orange or ruby slipper for an accent, heat to smooth and even sometimes dip in a clear w/glitter top coat for added shine. 2. I often perform all the above actions in 1 process then cure. You're right though, there is opportunity for build-up either way and even drips in the curing but if you're careful to keep your powder "fluffed" up, you should do fine.

Brush tappin', I'm guessing that you have a brush with some color on and tap the brush with your finger so it releases a little powder in 'sprinkles/flecks' on the area you want?

Anyone on here use the powder paint air-brush? I know pepop uses 'fluid beds', as do a lot of people on here...I just wonder if using the air-brush would decrease the amount of powder, thereby decreasing the possibility of dripping during the curing process, especially with 3 or 4 different colors

How much control do you have with a power coat air brush? I'm was thing that makeup brushes might work really well since there ment to work with powder, and come in all sizes. As soon as I rember how to post pics ill put up what I have so far.
