Wife mentioned she would like to go crappie fishing! I would like to encourage this thought! Any suggestions for a guide and lake near Fort Worth that would be professional and instructive on the ways of crappie fishing? Nice clean boat and patience a must!
Though some of this is tongue-in-cheek, she hated going with me in the "relic" (my old boat). What say ye? This is actually for her birthday present!

Cedar creek!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Thanks for the suggestion. Cedar Creek is a lake I have never fished but have wanted to.

If you are trying to stay near Fort Worth try either Benny Dabney or Luck O' The Irish. Dabney fishes out of a Skeeter bass boat and Omar fishes out of a FishMaster center console. Both guides fish lakes close to the metroplex.

If you are headed east then Chuck and BigCrappie.com are the ones to call.

Wife and I fished last Thursday morning with Chuck at BigCrappie.com on CCL and had a great time. Patient and informative. Will definately go back. This was for her birthday too!
