Granger is good catfishing lake as well and better for blue catfishing .

it depends, both lakes have their ups and downs, if youre going for a mess of eater channels id say cali, if you want a few nice blues then go to granger. granger has less catfishing pressure since its a crappie lake. The people at granger are a lot better on etiquette than at cali. Also watch for stumps and sudden shallow water areas in granger, on the plus side you dont have to worry about guides acting like they own the lake on granger like you do on cali.

Haven't been in a while but fishing the dam with cut or live bait sure caught some nice blues. Used to fish with a Co worker from the bank.Between intake and north shore about half way was the hot spot.We'd fish off the bottom from shore but drifting would work pretty good.
