What is the best place to put a boat in at. I herd that Holiday is a place to avoid. Is the State Park the best option that is close enough to the damn? i have a smaller boat and want to avoid a long boat ride if i can.

Holiday isn't a bad place to launch. It's the bathrooms there you have to avoid.

State Park has a nice ramp, but it is a long boat ride (15 to 20 minutes at 40 mph). Holiday is much much closer. Several guides use Holiday, so there should not be a problem, it is just an old place.

Thank you for the info guys. I think I'm going to use holiday to avoid the long boat ride. How has the fishing been out there?

I have memories of Holiday in the 1970's and it was a nice marina, even the old ramp by the elevated pier, they were always open and the store was well stocked, the cafe (closed) had decent food and have a memory of eating there with Bob Uhler along time ago.

Use the State Park, it is awesome and the ramps are easy access.

You are definitely old school. Like me. Guess you also read Andy Anderson's fishing reports.
