Started fishing at 11:30 pm and limited at 3:15am. Lots of decent crappie today but no monsters. But at about 2:15 a.m my cork dissapeared again, i set the Hook with my light action spinning combo and drag screams. At this moment I know this ain't no crappie. The fish jumps and all I can tell is it's not just big but it's real Big. Roughly a minute later a stick my hand in the mouth of a 9lb 1oz largemouth. It was a great fight and is my 4rth biggest ever. But my 3 double digit bass were caught on bass gear. Luckily i had a ice chest with me so i was able to take her over to the marina and find some one to take a couple pics before i released her. Cajun cricket bobby garland baby shad two foot under a foam cigar float caught them all.This was my 4rth limit in a row. Still catching them on a rocky bank that has a road going over it! Slam bam, lol!   And here is the 9lb 1oz bass   Slam Bam!

Congrats! I see guys catch these big bass every once in a while when crappie fishing, but I never had any bass bigger than a couple pounds take my offering. Saw a guy lose one like that about a month back while out fishing and he was in the same area. It would be a lot of fun catching something like that on a crappie rig.
