As far as I know, all three ramps are open. You can never go wrong with a burger at Elm Creek!

Just got back. Elm creek is a great place to stay overnight and the food/hamburger was great too.
Fishing was very slow. Carp were up shallow in the back coves. Marked fish and bait out i the 30 feet of water, but no takers. First time there in 15 years so it was more of an adventure instead of a fishing trip. I did not go up in the creeks and stayed out in the main lake areas. I did see an 11.75 LMB weight at the station. Hugh fish. Water temps were 55 most of the time of day, but in the back coves I did get one reading of 61 in the heat of the day. Wind was a factor, so I picked the places to fish of wind not what looked the best.
April should be on fire... Good Luck.

WTTT fished it yesterday and had some pretty good sacks. 1st was 31.09, 2nd was 27.32, 3rd was 23.72, and 4th was 19.50. The big fish were 10.92, 9.83, 8.56, 8.18, 8.13, and 7.95. I think there might have been another 8 something weighed in but cant remember for sure. Main lake temps are upper 50s but there is mid 60s up the creeks.

Was 2Gs the 31 lb sack? I'm sure Hallford had you on them.

Only places to eat at th lake are the marinas. Elm creek and concho. Big O's in valera is a good place to hit also. Lowake steakhouse is another but its a bit of a drive. Elm creek , concho and sportsmans lodge are the only places to stay assuming sportsmans is still open .. haven't been in 2 years..

Those are some very good numbers compared to what's been reported recently there. Good to see.

I would go to Big O's before any of the steak houses. Actually I would just eat a big ole burger at Jerry's. Mighty tasty.

Some of the fish weighed were actually seen on beds. The winning team wasn't bed fishing, but caught their bass up shallow. The 10+ pounder was in 2' depth. It's getting better by the day. But, this cold front coming is going to change everything again. The water clarity really won't let you sight fish on most of the lake. Only a limited area that you can see well enough to sight fish.
I talked to a friend that was there yesterday and they caught numbers, but no hawgs.
