TPW rocks. I read a study from some other state where they built three different style structures to see which one worked best. End result was all three sucked! All the big fish stayed on their current rock piles lol.

Dont kill the grass and u wouldnt have to bother with brush piles. No, it's okay. Haven't you heard? TP&WD and local fishermen are going to collaborate to plant these cute little weed patches in our lakes...all "native" plants, of course...to replace all the hydrilla and other grasses they kill. Soon we'll all be able to gather around in the back of a creek and cast to their in-the-water botanical garden. That's right, 50 boats throwing at a 10 x 10 patch of broccoli. Should be great until someone gets his hook stuck in the little fence they put around it and spooks the three fish gathered in the area.

Some reservoirs have aquatic vegetation that provides excellent fish habitat, but the amount of vegetation coverage fluctuates due to numerous factors (i.e., water level changes, nutrient dynamics, and cold winter temperatures). Gee, do you think you may have forgotten to list any other reasons why vegetation may disappear from our lakes, Todd? This guy works for TP&WD and conveniently forgets to mention that his own organization manages activities that have destroyed vegetation in lake...after lake...after lake. SPRAYING. CHEMICALS. GRASS CARP. Purely oversight on his part, no doubt...unless his article was proofread and edited by his buddy Richard Ott.
