i will be fishing a private 3 acre pond this weeekend. It has been stocked, and bass houses built. Lots of timber on one end of the lake and the middle is about 17 feet deep. Any ideas on what to target this time of year. Been out of fishing for 6 months due to surgury, and need to ideas to narrow down and build back confidence in certain baits, Never had much luck with jerk baits or chatter baits. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Plastic worms would be your best bet, i like gary yamamoto 5in pumpkin senko or purple thatd work too. cast it out and let it drop then reel it in SLOWLY while SLOWLY moving your rod tip up and down, try and work all different depths until you hit the spot, i would try bottom first then work your way up

Catch a couple of bluegill and cut them up, then cast toward the timber and wait. Or fish a jig and slip cork around the timber for crappie. Heck, even some punch bait under a slip cork near the timber will work. Throw out some range cubes or soured grain/milo before fishing.
