I'm inquiring about good places to stay around Fork over spring break. The plan is for my dad, and brother (who I haven't had a chance to fish with in a long time since he's been training for and becoming a fireman with DFD) and a couple of cousins, to fish for a few days before I have to go back to work. We'll probably be taking a couple of boats. Don't necessarily have to have a marina, although that would be nice. I've been going down to Amistad for the past few spring breaks and have no problem with launching the boat every day.
I haven't been to fork in over 20 years so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Burning Stump on 515, covered boat parking, close to ramp and eating places

$175 and $300 per night... Don't think so

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I highly recommend OakRidge Marina and Lodge. The owners went out of their way for myself and my daughter.
Great restaurant on site, with good food. Also tackle shop on premesis ( can't beat Earnie Dye in the tackle shop) He will make sure you have what you need, and thats all

I look forward to going back as soon as I can

They don't call it catchin for a reason

Scenic 515 Cabins. Nice clean and quiet. Also covered boat parking.

I know this is after spring break for most folks, but I like to stay at Shorty's Resort on FM 17. Great rates, good rooms, and real close to a ramp. Levi and Sara are good folks too. www.shortysresort.com
