Wow......very impressive and I gave away an old float tube due to fear of gators in north texas and moca years ago. Ill stay only kayak instead

I hooked several tarpon that size and bigger from a kayak last June in the Keys (I didn't land any, though). The feeling of a 6' tarpon pulling me 75 yards across the flats was incredible. I will be doing it again as soon as I can arrange it.

And yeah, that's an awesome video. That guy has fought a bunch of large fish from his float to be able to fight and land mature tarpon from it. He lives on that water. He probably lands sharks from it, too.
