I will be at my parent's house in Pecan Plantation at Granbury between Christmas and New Year's Day. Taking the boat and going to try to fish some. Is Granbury worth trying or is there something close that will be more worth my while? I'm talking about quick morning or afternoon trips...I might take one day and go to Fork.

Fishing has been decent lately. Docks around the mouths of coves have been pretty good.

go to squaw creek. will be worth your time. but you can only fish friday , saturday and sunday and you will have to reserve a spot. they only allow 100 boats.

BAD DAY FISHING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAY AT WORK.

I have heard of a lot of people going to Squaw lately. I'd try squaw.

hey i live in pecan and i take the golf cart to the marina every night and just jig a little grub on the bottom straight out and catch sandies, if you are in a boat looking for LMB work under boat slips and boat ramps (especially the pecan one) with deep and shallow cranks, hope this helps! may see you out there!

The ramp at pecan plantation is a no go. You can try the dam ramp, but be prepared to get your feet wet and don't try to power load on the trailer. Float the trailer off the boat and use your TM. The safest ramp is going to be the Hilton hotel ramp but even that one is tough with the lake this low. You will need to park across the street (there is a sign).

The BRA needs to build us a good shallow water ramp with all the $$$ they get from selling water.

Go to Granbury....throw a black/red jig around docks, work it very slow but with sporatic hops and thank me later.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! Sounds like I have some good options. Gonna have to try both Granbury and Squaw. How do I make reservations on Squaw?

I would avoid going Saturday (to squaw) as there is a tournament. They might be all booked up that day anyway.
