Been awhile since I posted a report. My first Buf on fly. Second Third and Largest All caught Friday at LLELA on a large Pheasant Tail tied on a size 10 jig head (1/128). 5 weight rod and 4 pound tippet. I got to see backing for the first time on the last one. Took 30 minutes to bring her in. Good day.

Good stuff David. Llela produces some good chances at buffs and carp on the fly.

Great catch, I have a flyrod that belonged to my step dad from the late 60's, don't know if I should use it or save it for my kids....

Nice fish!! How's the Prestige Plus reel hold up to the Carp? Well, I landed 3 out of 3 Buffalo and I did not notice any problem, so it did great. It gets bonus points since I was using 4 pound tipit.

I've been chasing carp on Lake Benbrook for the past 3 months and still can't get one to take anything. I've never hooked up a carp with a fly rod (all I use/own), but can't wait. Your catch is very inspiring. Thanks.

Your catch is very inspiring. Thanks. I love catching carp and bufs on fly (two different species, above are buffalo). This is the first year for me to have success with them.
