I realize this is a Boat and Motor topic, however looking for some feedback. No service is required for these and have a 10 year warranty. How many have had one fail? Things that require no service just freak me out. So far so good with them.

They Are Very Good.. Ive Had a problem with one of mine which turned out to be a PITA.. They are the same roughly the same design we are all used to by now with a few upgrades The problem with mine was the inner grease seal failed due to a tiny peice of welding slag from the trailer being built i assume.. UFP took care of it in short order, and its been alot of miles..

I had one fail on a fairly short 30 mile drive. Looked fine when I pulled out as I always checked before every trip but by the time I got to the ramp everthing was welded together. The only down side is when that seal fails the oil goes quickly and completely so there's no forgiveness. With grease you get some time before total failure and it doesn't go all at once - you can see the slung grease before everything goes. Talked to the trailer rep when I put back together (took new hub and new axle to fix it) his quote " you don't see many grease guys broke down on the side of the highway" so I went back with grease on both wheels and no problem since. But in all fairness the oil baths did last 6 years before one went but in my case there was no warning at all when it failed.

Anyone know a good place in dfw to get parts, I went a little long on the brake pads and need new rotors and the inner seal for the vault system.

They must have invented a new material for the inside spindle seal. Good Luck

I am looking for someone in Lubbock to work on my Vault hubs. I think one is leaking on the inner seal.

I replaced one due to the inner seal. UFP replaced it and I installed the new one without much trouble. My trailer has been hauled all over the country so, considering the miles I think they're awesome.

Vault Hubs are not servicable to original condition as the are pressure filled with oil. The ones I have serviced were replaced as a complete spindle-hub unit or changed over to greased hubs. The Vault hubs are guaranteed for 5 years from date of purchase.
